Cottage on the Shore

This is my best piece so far.  I started out with line art which I never do.  I find line art tends to constrain me too much so I started out with a black and white rough sketch, line art over it, and then painted.  The line art for this was very rough.  It lacked many of the details you see here even the foreground wasn't complete in it because I had no idea what I was going to put there.  This method seemed to work well for me so I need to experiment with it more.
