Sunlit Pond by jjpeabody Sunlit Pond by jjpeabody
I've been noticing that a lot of Kinkade paintings have very soft edges in the background contrasted with sharper edges in the foreground. It seems that it's the soft edges that give the illusion of scattered light. How the heck he did that without photoshop I have no idea.

A truly lovely scene! I could imagine myself being there. The colors vary greatly and yet they are subtle and not overpowering in any way. The lighting, though, is what gives it that dream-like feel that I love so much! Great work!

There is nothing wrong here. The colors work very well together. The central placement of the blooming tree over the stream is awesome. I like how you blended the rocks and placed the house in the trees tucked away. I wrote a scene in a children's book that this reminds me of.
If only you had a few wild creatures roaming in the fields.
Best work of this type I have seen of yours so far. Great stuff.

this bursts with colour, but it all works together as one. especially like the reflections in the pool.

Wow, just wow. I love the use of colors in this one. o.o I don't think I could even put in so many colors and make it still look good. My paintings usually have only one color tone (like, green, blue, orange etc.) and that makes it look kinda dull on my part. But really, great job on this one!
